Who Should Attend the 2014 Inside Self Storage World Expo?

To the delight of all passionate self-storage facility owners and self-storage users, the Inside Self Storage (ISS) World Expo is just around the corner.  This year's expo will take place in Las Vegas at the Paris Hotel & Resort from March 31 to April 2, 2013.

And the best part is – everyone is invited.

And we really mean everyone: owners of self-storage facilities; insurance companies looking to help owners protect their customers' assets; construction teams with experience renovating self-storage facilities; marketing teams looking to boost exposure of facilities; and other groups who are capable of making meaningful contributions to the self-storage arena.

If you're one of these companies that can offer real value to self-storage facility owners and their target market – at the show AND in the future – you should definitely consider marketing your services at the event.

While major sponsor spots are already filled, there's still plenty of room for exhibitors on the main floor of the expo.  Whether you're a self-storage company owner or a company that can help the world of self-storage flourish, exhibitors can sign up today.  Currently, there are about 125 exhibitors expected to line the floors of the expo hall inside the Paris Hotel and Resort.

While ISS is still looking for exhibitors to sign up, it's looking for people self-storage users more than anything.  If you take pride in storing your valuables in a facility that's safe and secure, you stand to gain a lot at the expo.  You'll learn about the different kind of technology being implemented in self-storage facilities all across the world and gain access to some incredibly educational workshops depending on the package option you choose.

Regardless of what package option you choose, all attendees are invited to a self-storage Q&A, roundtable discussion, buyers and sellers meeting, and a series of vendor presentations.

In addition to meeting some great new people, you'll also have the opportunity to experience Las Vegas's fun, happy-go-lucky vibe.  And, after arriving home from the expo, you'll be equipped with the knowledge you need to know whether your self-storage provider is as good as they say they are or something else.

Have your valuables been truly protected during all these years, or have they been vulnerable and left your valuables at the whim of luck?  You'll definitely know the answer to this after attending this grand expo.  But hopefully your self-storage facility is like our self-storage facilities in Richmond, VA and you have nothing to worry about.

If you have any questions about the ISS Expo, you can learn more about it by visiting the official ISS Expo website.  And if you can't attend this year, watch out for videos and highlights from the expo we'll most likely be posting in April.

United Methodist Family Services of Richmond VA

Another new year has unfolded. Each new year brings hope and excitement and an outlook focused on positive changes to our lives. The beginning of a new year spurns these desires and it is up to us to make them a reality. This can be true of us personally or our desires to help others with their dreams.

The UMFS (United Methodist Family Services) is a non- profit organization which helps children find hope and growth from a healthy family. This organization has been around for 112 years and has a campus right here in Richmond. I can imagine a child at the UMFS dreaming about a new family each New Year’s Day! That’s what this organization does- match their children with a willing foster family. Then, quite often, these children are so loved and add such a fabulous dynamic to their new family that they are adopted into the new family.

The UMFS provides many services including helping children heal from trauma, assisting special needs children and helping older teens obtain life skills to prepare them for their adult years. These services are in addition to their main goal of finding a foster family to provide a home for their children.

Extra Attic admires organizations that support our community and especially those that take care of our children. You can help a child or a family find hope by becoming a foster parent, volunteering or donating to UMFS. UMFS is a 501(c)3 organization and your gifts are tax-deductible. Please contact UMFS at www.umfs.org. for answers to your questions.  If this touches your heart, go ahead and get the ball rolling and contact them.
